Whimsy

I typically make quilts from civil war fabrics, which tend to give them a darker, historical look.

For a change I wanted to create something light and whimsical.   I think this quilt does it :)

I finished it before Christmas and altered the pattern to add my favourite birds:

A Blue Jay (living outside Toronto, definitely need a blue jay)

and a Cardinal (a bright spot in our long winters)
