I wanted to lighten it up a bit and thought I would do wallpaper beadboard. I got all the supplies home and realized how many corners I had in this tiny room and decided that wasn't going to be the way to go.
I decided to do a chair rail and wainscotting. I like the navy, so I just painted primer and then BM Cloud White up 5 feet.
I added the chairrail which I had pre-painted and then started mitering the wainscotting. Easy Peasy!
I have a new light for over the vanity, but I couldn't get the old one unscrewed. I'll have to wait til someone with muscles visits :-)

Love the navy powder room, navy is so classic. We had navy carperting thoughout our home in S. California, not practical, but I loved it. You are certainly handy with a paint brush, hammer, and sewing machine.
ReplyDeleteSharon it looks fantastic! I love what you did! :)

I love the navy too but you're right, it was a bit dark for a small room. Great solution and your wainscoting looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I've been wanting to do this. It inspires me!
ReplyDeleteLooks AMAZING! I've always been a sucker for blue and white, so you can imagine how crazy I am about this project!
ReplyDeleteSharon, beautiful job on your bathroom. I love how you used the moulding. Just finishing up our boy's bathroom now with some board & batten and other moulding. I love working with the stuff.
