Birds in the Air
Louisiana
Log Cabin
Little Blue Basket
Fox and Geese
Lincoln's Platform
Kansas Troubles
Fort Sumter
This is my favourite block so far ... the brown is the fort, the blue is the water and the red is the incoming canon fire.
They all have the most interesting stories. I only have three more to go to be caught up and then I'll only have one a week for the rest of the year to make.
What an interesting project. I love when there are hidden meanings in a craft or art project. I've always had a desire to make a quilt, but never done so - I will admire yours instead.
ReplyDeleteThese are definelty addicting! I love making the historic blocks. A lot of these I've never seen before and love watching them come together. I too love how the Fort Sumter block has symbolism! I don't make a block every Saturday, like you I am playing catch-up, but I love reading the history story that comes with every block!
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be one lovely quilt.
ReplyDeleteHi Sharon, yes, I think your hooked on these..
