OK, as much as I would like to be on a tropical island right now, we interrupt that fantasy to give you an update on what I have been working on since the weekend.
I was at a friend's recently and she mentioned that she wants a kitchen island .... she had tons of tear sheets showing exactly what she wanted. A little bit country/a little bit shabby chic.

I can do that!!
I keep forgetting to take pictures, but this is how far I've got. Only a peak though .. it is still under construction. The only thing I've bought so far is 2 2x4s and some nails.
Won't this be the best hostess gift EVER?
Oh yeah! A sofa table is on my list of projects this summer, so I'm really looking forward to seeing this one completed.
ReplyDeleteWow....that IS some hostess gift. Don't you just love making furniture? Elizabeth, the supplies for 2 sofa tables are in the back of hubby's van. A birthday gift for our daughter and one for moi :-)
ReplyDeleteFabulous idea; cannot wait to see your completed project--sounds awesome!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! You are so talented to be able to make something like that.
ReplyDeleteSeriously? Look at you!
