Donna has always wanted a Christmas quilt ... so she got one in her stocking this year. It doesn't have any Santas or Christmas trees on it. It is more a "Winter" quilt, so she can keep it out longer.
I also made my brother Bruce 2 lap quilts for watching TV. Years ago, Donna thought she might take up quilting and bought all this homespun fabric. She cut it up into squares, but didn't go any further. So I got all the fabric this summer, and put it together.
I think he was happy :-)
Lucky Donna and Bruce! I'm sure the quilt and throws will be much loved. I hope to fit some new fabric in the budget soon, too. Wishing you and your loved ones all the best in 2012.
ReplyDeleteWell done. I can't decide which one I prefer. What a nice thing go do - finishing off someone's procrastination project.
ReplyDeleteLove the homespun lap quilts...they look so comfy cozy!
ReplyDeleteBoth quilts are quite lovely!
ReplyDeleteAMAZING! you have skills!
ReplyDeleteWOW. I'm with Shannon...you have skills! So nice of you to put those homespun squares to use. Mind if I send you some? hehe! I envy quilters & knitters. I'm too ADD to tackle something like that although I did take a stab at a 16 square blanket that I'll be sharing tomorrow. Thank you so much for sharing with air your laundry Friday, Sharon!
