Last Minute ....

It snowed yesterday, so it now looks like Christmas.   It also sounds like Christmas and smells like Christmas with Harry Connick crooning and cookies baking..   I was out to the grocery store this morning for all my last minute vegetables, etc for Christmas lunch and was back home by 9:00!

No way am I getting caught in a store tomorrow!

I baked more cookies.
and finished a table runner I started last night as a last minute gift.
I like that it is more "Winter" than "Christmas"  ... but cute and festive.
I got the pattern from a tutorial on  A Bee in My Bonnet.

Almost done ... just have to clean the kitchen, do the dishes, tidy my craft room, pack up the gifts I'm taking to my Brother's for Christmas Day, have a cup of tea, and chill.

Hope you are almost ready for the big day!!!

Wishing you and yours a wonderful Christmas, full of family, friends and great food!

Gift Tags

I like to make personal gift tags for the family each Christmas.   Last year I made them with pictures of the recipient and myself.

This year I saw this cute snowman tag on Pintrest made with buttons.  (couldn't find the original post)
I made my own similar ones ... and another snowman button tag.   Cute!

Boat House Timbers

A friend of mine had to take down the boathouse at her cottage, but she salvaged all the beautiful old wood.    When we were up at the cottage for "Greenery Day" she presented us all with gifts made from the wood.
and here it is hung up in my craft room.

What a great reminder of all our good times at the cottage.

Christmas Quilt

I just finished a Christmas Quilt ... and in time for the holiday season!!

I can't sit on the sofa without something covering my legs, so this will work for winter.
There are actually no "Christmas" themed fabrics in the quilt, so it has more season longevity.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!

I'm am an advocate of less is more, but at Christmas even less is more.
and my favourite Christmas decoration, that I've had 30 years (can it be that long???) is my handmade Santa's sleigh.
Ahhh .... it really is beginning to look a lot like Christmas ... every room you go.
